My name is Els Holland, I'm 42 years old and I'm a practice nurse from Holland. That's like a physician’s assistant. I typically wear jeans with ankle boots, a cool tee and a leather jacket. I like a bit of a rocker/edgy style, but sometimes wear dresses or skirts too. I love fashion, shopping and going out with my best friend, husband and colleagues.
 
Where do you live, and what trends are big there?
I live in Eindhoven, in the Netherlands (Holland). It's a city known for its design. We have a famous design academy, and there are lots of interesting, new things happening. The trends that are big here now are graphic designs, stripes and checks, cropped tops, neon and nineties.
 
What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?
I don't have a big budget, so I like to shop at H&M, Zara, River Island, Topshop, Mango and Pull&Bear. If I had the money: Isabel Marant, Balmain, Rika and Rag & Bone. I love a bit of rocker-chic and, sometimes, bohemian style.
 
Which celebrity do you think has great style and why?
The celebrities who I think have great style are Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Nicole Richie and Gwen Stefani. I like mixing fun with edgy-cool.
 
What are your personal aspirations/goals?
I would love to find more balance in my life. Through Polyvore, I discovered I would like to do more creative things. I might pick up something in the arts/designing field. The designers we met during the meetup in New York really inspired me. Just follow your dream.
 
How has Polyvore affected your life?
Polyvore has affected my life in a big way. I'm totally addicted. It's like a dream come true. I get to use my hobby in a creative way and have met so many amazing women/girls who have really touched my heart!
 
Describe your personal sense of style.
My personal sense of style isn't too serious: I like fun, edgy things and mixing it up. I like colours and, sometimes, crazy prints. I love denim and rocker/biker jackets and boots.
 
How would you describe your set style?
I used to do only fashion sets with model pictures and a look on top, but now I enjoy doing all kinds of sets: art, dolls, interior, beauty, different layouts. It's so much fun mixing it up!
